​Floral Watercolor Painting Workshop

This workshop is full.

This workshop will be split into two parts. In the morning, we’ll focus on working with your paint and the colors you can create with a limited palette. You will learn to mix paint on your palette as well as achieving rich colors by intermingling color directly on your paper. You'll learn to paint washes and gradients - plus figure out the good and bad about backruns. We’ll explore various techniques to create texture and effects for backgrounds. We’ll break for lunch - bring your own, Grubhub, or slip out and grab a bite at a nearby restaurant. Then you’ll have the afternoon to work on your floral painting applying the skills you learned. I will demonstrate as we go. We'll be painting on an 8 x 10"  stretched 140 lb. Arches cold-pressed watercolor paper that will be prepared for you ahead of time. The goal will be to finish the painting at the end of the class. 

 

*You must register to join the workshop so I can prepare your materials. Class size limited to six.

**If you have taken my watercolor workshops before, you may take the half day option meeting from 1-4 pm for $50.**

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

Watercolor paint: tube or pan, at least 12 basic colors

Watercolor brushes: Suggested sizes, round 12, 10, 8, 6, 4 

You are welcome to bring any other watercolor supplies you have or like to use
